Modu Drawer Drawer Builder — design a custom modular drawer organiser for any drawer size
The Modu Drawer Drawer Builder is a free, browser-based design tool that lets anyone plan a custom drawer organiser without measuring tape diagrams or trial-and-error orders. You enter the interior length and width of your drawer in millimetres, and the builder generates a proportional grid representing the drawer floor. From there, you drag and drop modular inserts onto the grid: knife blocks, utensil dividers, spice racks, stackable trays, deep storage bins, and small-item compartments. Each module snaps to the grid, can be rotated in 90-degree increments, and enforces collision detection so pieces never overlap. When you're satisfied with the configuration, the builder converts your layout into a shopping cart with the exact set of components you need — no guesswork, no leftover parts.
All Modu Drawer modules are manufactured from PLA bioplastic, a plant-based polymer derived from corn starch. PLA is BPA-free, food-safe, and recycle-conscious, making it a meaningfully more sustainable alternative to traditional petroleum-based plastic drawer organisers. Modules are wipe-clean — lift any module out, wipe with a damp cloth, slide it back. They slot into the grid base to stay put when the drawer opens and closes, and can be rearranged endlessly without tools or adhesives. The colour range covers both warm neutrals (cotton white, charcoal black, olive green) and accent colours, so layouts can be tonally consistent or deliberately mixed.
Typical use cases include kitchen drawers (cutlery, knives, cooking utensils, spice jars, coffee pods), bathroom drawers (cosmetics, hair tools, dental supplies), office desks (stationery, cables, sticky notes), and craft/hobby storage (paint pens, bobbins, beads, component boxes). The builder works for standard kitchen drawer sizes (typically 295-900mm wide) and supports both shallow and deep drawers — for deep drawers, modules can be stacked vertically using the "stack" toggle.
