Wardrobe drawer organiser

A wardrobe drawer organiser is a drawer-fit system for wardrobe internal drawers — typically folded clothes (jumpers, t-shirts, jeans), socks and underwear, and accessories (belts, ties, scarves). UK wardrobe drawers cluster heavily around two named systems: IKEA® PAX with KOMPLEMENT drawer inserts, and bespoke fitted-wardrobe drawers from kitchen-style cabinet makers.

The IKEA KOMPLEMENT case

IKEA® PAX wardrobes are by far the most common UK fitted-wardrobe system, and the KOMPLEMENT drawer inserts cluster around three sizes:

  • 50×58 cm internal width × depth (the standard half-width drawer)
  • 75×58 cm internal width × depth (full-width drawer in 75 cm wardrobes)
  • 100×58 cm internal width × depth (full-width drawer in 100 cm wardrobes)

Modu Drawer's Wardrobe Drawer-Fit Pack is sized for the 75×58 case — by far the most common in UK PAX configurations. For other KOMPLEMENT sizes, use the drawer builder with the dimensions; the modules are the same, only the base sizing changes.

Why a modular grid suits wardrobe drawers

  • Folded clothes change in volume. A summer-wardrobe drawer holds half what a winter-wardrobe drawer holds. Modular cells re-arrange seasonally.
  • Accessories want sized cells. Belts coil into round cells; ties fold flat; scarves nest. Each category benefits from a different cell shape.
  • Low slam force. Wardrobe drawers open gently. Snap-lock fit is overkill but doesn't hurt.

Beyond IKEA

Bespoke fitted wardrobes from cabinet makers (Sharps, Hammonds, kitchen-style suppliers) often use side-mounted ball-bearing runners — same as kitchen drawers — and have varied internal dimensions. Use the drawer builder with the actual internal measurements.
